Ranking and Sponsored Placement Disclosure
Last updated 4 May 2026
MVPHub ranks MVPs to prioritize buyer trust, delivery confidence, and relevance.
Main ranking factors
Public listings can consider:
- verified buyer ratings, weighted by review count;
- successful install signals;
- automated quality checks;
- human review outcomes;
- documentation completeness;
- freshness and version history;
- seller support and refund/dispute metrics;
- votes, bookmarks, and other discovery signals;
- category, stack, price, and keyword relevance.
No single rating or vote count determines placement by itself.
Sponsored placements
Sponsored placements are paid promotion slots. They must be labeled as sponsored wherever shown. Paid promotion is not a quality badge and does not override buyer trust signals.
Before a sponsored placement can be created, the item must pass quality gates. MVPHub blocks sponsored placement when the item has failed quality checks, lacks approved human review, has unresolved review moderation flags, has unresolved seller disputes, or exceeds refund-rate thresholds.
Transparency
Ranking formulas may change as the marketplace learns which signals best predict buyer success. MVPHub avoids using sponsored status as a substitute for quality, and sponsored items remain subject to the same marketplace policies as organic listings.
