Digital products are normally final once access is delivered, but refunds may be available when checkout succeeds and no deliverable can be provided, the delivered asset is materially different from the listing, malware/quarantine blocks delivery, a duplicate payment occurred, or applicable law requires a refund. Payment: How do payments work on MVPHub?

All payments on MVPHub are processed securely by Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment platforms. MVPHub never handles or stores your credit card details. When you buy an MVP, Stripe processes the payment and the seller receives the funds directly in their connected Stripe account after a small platform fee is deducted. Stripe then automatically transfers the money to the seller's bank account.

MVPHub offers two ways to connect Stripe: Express (Recommended) — Stripe creates a new account for you. Best if you don't have Stripe yet. Fast, guided setup with a simplified dashboard for viewing your MVPHub earnings and payouts. If you’d like to keep your marketplace earnings separate, you can create a new Stripe account for MVPHub and continue using your existing Stripe account for other purposes. Standard (OAuth) — Connect your existing Stripe account. Best if you already use Stripe and want all your payments in one dashboard. Your existing products, customers, and settings are not affected. Both options are equally secure. The only difference is setup flow and the dashboard you'll use.

Payment: Which Stripe account type should I choose?

Choose Express if: you don't have a Stripe account, you only sell on MVPHub, you want the simplest setup, or you're a solo founder with a side project. Choose Standard if: you already have an active Stripe account, you sell on multiple platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.), or you want one unified dashboard for all your payments. If you're unsure, choose Express — it takes about 5 minutes and you can always disconnect later.

Payment: Is the OAuth connection for Standard accounts secure?

Yes, industry-standard security. OAuth 2.0 is the same protocol used by "Sign in with Google" and all major platforms. You are redirected to Stripe's own website to log in and approve the connection — MVPHub never sees your Stripe password. You can revoke access anytime from your Stripe Dashboard under Settings → Connected accounts. MVPHub receives only a secure connection token, never your credentials.

Payment: Why does Stripe need my SSN or Tax ID?

This is a legal requirement, not an MVPHub requirement. US law (and most countries) requires payment processors to verify identity under Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money-laundering regulations. Stripe also needs it to issue tax forms (1099-K in the US). This is standard practice — PayPal, Square, and every payment processor requires the same information. Your SSN/Tax ID is encrypted end-to-end and stored only in Stripe's PCI-compliant vault. MVPHub never sees it.

After a successful sale, Stripe typically deposits funds into your bank account within 2 business days. For new accounts, the first payout may take 7–14 days as Stripe verifies your account. After that, payouts happen automatically on a rolling basis. Weekends and bank holidays may add an extra day. You can track all payouts in your Stripe Dashboard.

Your money is always in your Stripe account and then your bank — MVPHub never holds it.

There are two fees: MVPHub platform fee — A fee deducted from paid sales for facilitating marketplace checkout, fulfillment, support, and trust/safety workflows. The amount depends on seller commercial tier, listing configuration, or platform settings and is shown or made available before selling. Stripe processing fee — Standard card processing fees charged by Stripe (typically 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for US cards). International cards and currency conversions may have additional charges. Both fees are deducted automatically. You receive the net amount directly in your bank account.
